UPM promotes a sustainable transformation of society through material solutions based on renewable raw materials.

At the Pietarsaari pulp mill, approximately 800,000 tonnes of birch and softwood pulp are produced annually from locally sourced wood fibre. The pulp is further processed into label, specialty and tissue papers as well as paperboard.

Most of the materials we produce are transported to manufacturers around the world via the nearby Alholma port.

The pulp mill employs a close-knit community of around 230 people who support your learning and professional growth throughout your entire career.
